C.B.C - CWS & Inductee In An Instant
Stopping in on the College World Series & a Class of 2025 Inductee
Making a couple of stops on the Canadian Baseball Corner today as we head to Omaha and St. Mary’s, checking in on a couple of hosers having pretty big months this June. Let’s not delay further and get started! You know what to do…grab a snack and a bevy, sit and relax, and let’s pitter patter…
College World Series
Omahoser Charles Davalan is staying alive with his Hogs after a dominant pitching performance against this year's Cinderella, the Racers from Murray State.
The Razorbacks began their tournament in Omaha with a challenging match-up against LSU. Tigers starter Kade Anderson went 7 innings, allowing only 3 hits and one earned run, bumping Arkansas to the loser’s bracket with a 4-1 victory (Davalan: 4 AB, 1 H).
Monday afternoon, we witnessed a pitching performance for the ages, adding a memorable moment to College World Series lore that will be talked about for years to come in Fayetteville and Omaha. In a must-win game, RHP Gage Wood shoved. “How much did he shove?” you may be asking. How about a complete game no-hitter, striking out 19! Dominant is an understatement, and he may have made a couple of extra bucks at draft time to boot (Davalan: 4 AB, 2 H, 1 R, 1 RBI, 1 BB, 2 K).
The Razorbacks keep it moving and take on the loser of the LSU / UCLA match-up tonight to stay in the tourney and title contention. Their game is being finished this morning as they dealt with weather delays last evening. Score heading into this am - after three innings, the Tigers lead the Bruins 5-3.
Inductee In An Instant
Let’s stay within this year’s class for our next Inductee In An Instant and use this as our congratulations to them. This southpaw is pretty much local to me here in the Nation’s Capital, being from Navan, Ontario, which is about a 25-30 minute drive from Ottawa.

Thank you for stopping by today. Until the next time, and as always…
Keep It 80 Grade!
Bedard was so good for a minute there. Makes me remember how hard the game is and to appreciate greatness when you see it
