The College World Series is always great, and it’s time to determine our cheering interest heading into the 2026 tourney. SB&S support will be determined by the number of Canadians on the team. In case of a tie, the winner will be decided by the number of kilometers their home field is away from Ottawa. Closest to the pin wins. Let’s get into it!

West Virginia Mountaineers:

• INF Tyrus Hall (Victoria, British Columbia) - 60 GP, .278/.402/.439, 187 AB, 81 K, 33 BB, 7 HR

• RHP Ben Goodcare (Ancaster, Ontario) - DNP

Troy University Trojans:

• RHP Matteo Pare (Lasalle, Ontario) - 3 APP, 2.2 IP, 0-0, 4.13 WHIP (did not meet the minimum requirement of 1 IP/Team Game)

University of Oklahoma Sooners

• C Deiten Lachance (Sherbrooke, Quebec) - 59 GP, .332/.406/.609, 220 AB, 43 K, 28 BB, 15 HR

With a DNP, I am not counting Goodcare in the WVU total, and we won’t include Pare from Troy, as they did not pitch the minimum amount for the season. That gives us a tie between the Mountaineers and the Sooners! To the Maps we go!
